When I started my business, I was always so nervous about doing maternity sessions. I don’t know why but they intimidated me the most. Now, after 2 years of growth, they are one of my top favorite sessions to shoot. After having two babies of my own and understand the anticipation for having one and then two, makes the session more real for me. There is so much bliss/ stress to both stages of life! I always kick myself for not stepping up and getting maternity photos taken; it is honestly such a special thing to capture and have memories of! I want my kids to be able to see what I looked like, especially my daughter; one day she will be pregnant and be asking me what I looked like!

I met Becky and Cody when I was offering my Christmas mini sessions and they are the sweetest couple ever! They have a daughter, Lennon, who is the cutest little girl and they are due with their second in a couple weeks! Cody and Becky are both elementary school teachers and love their jobs. It isn’t rare that teachers are slightly sad that it is spring break but these two are! I love meeting families like this and know they there is going to a little baby that is going to get so much love and have amazing parents to guide them through life.

Becky found her amazing dress on amazon for $30!! Ummm WHAT! Yes, thank you amazon for making it easy to buy amazing maternity gowns for cheap! I give all my clients a style guide so that they have an easier time picking out what to wear and what looks best on camera. You would be surprise that certain clothing can have a huge impact on how you look in your photos! If you are on the edge about getting maternity photos done I would say there isn’t anything that you will regret about getting them done. I have never once heard any of my clients say they are upset with getting maternity photos done. I can honestly say that I regret it and next baby there will be photos!
